The crowds were enormous, because it was the first Sunday of the month and the entrance for the rest of the people was free. Our guide explained to us that on 2nd of June is the day of the Republic so that's why the crowds were so big. Roberta was great in taking us to see the best places as she used to work there 7 years ago. Although she is small -as she mentioned several times- she could make herself heard and seen and she was the perfect guide. Her knowledge in history and archaeology is only overshined by her great spirit and atitudine. Also, she has a great smile! Thanks, Roberta for the cool experience on such a hot day!

I spent HOURS of time looking at tours, reading reviews and weighing one against the other. I am so glad i purchased this tour for our family of 5 (2 adults, 20 year old and 18 year old). Our tour guide - a third generation tour guide - was FABULOUS. He hit the right mix of funny , historically accurate and culturally insightful. He made it personal to the entire group and worked hard to make sure everyone felt included and connected.

Everything was so easy! From booking to meeting place. I was even contacted by WhatsApp to avoid the inconvenience of a free day at pompei which would have been a very busy day. The guided tour was efficient and very interesting. In short, a faultless tour. Thanks to the whole team (I was initially worried when I booked, reading some of the comments). For us: it was perfect!

Our guide was perfect! She was an architect and everything she told us was underlined by the shine in her eyes, which let us feel, that this place is the most fantastic of the world. We'd immediately book another tour with her! The german was super as well and she was very patient and answered every single question we had! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Overall it was a great tour. The only gripe I may have (I am searching to find a legitimate one) was the crowds and long lines getting in. We waiting for an hour to get through the entry gate. Once inside, it was very fascinating to see the ruins. I didn't know it was such a large city... I recommend this. Roberta was a great guide!! Super fun.

After the tour ended I stayed in the park to the end of the day and Giuseppe's tour helped with the rest of my sightseeing afternoon. Thankyou Giuseppe 🙏❤️

Pompeii was very beautiful, and I'm glad we got to experience it. Still had to wait in a bit of a line, however much shorter than the actual ticket line. It was busy, but there were some points where there was no one else near us. It made for good photo opportunities.

I purchased tickets long before my chosen day to go to Pompeii. The day I arrived I found out that admission was free as it was the first Sunday of the month. Or at any rate it was June 2. I contacted the site explaining the incident and within a few days they refunded me the full amount. I was very pleased. Congratulations. I will reuse this application as soon as I can.

Obviously it's good to save a bit by buying dual tickets. That said it seems a bit daft that at Pompeii you have to queue to change from a digital ticket to a paper one to get in. Surely this needs updating to save everyone time and money.

Great day exploring two very unique UNESCO historical archealogical sites as part of our honeymoon in Italy! We started at the Herculaneum first thing in the morning and were among the first visitors for the day. This was awesome as we avoided lots of crowds and school groups as we explored the ruins and followed our own self guided tour. The preservation of the artefacts was phenomenal and we were able to see active digging/restoration as we explored. We then went to Pompeii in the afternoon and again enjoyed a walk through history following a self-guided audio tour through the ancient city. We weren't able to skip-the-line at Pompeii as advertised by the booking and had to join the general queue to get out tickets from the voucher. We drove to both sites and parking was easily found - even in the afternoon when it was quite busy at Pompeii.

Visiting Pompeii was a fantastic experience! Everything went smoothly, though, as expected, it was quite crowded with tourists. However, the journey from Naples was memorable – the train ride was made special by an accordionist playing traditional Italian music, and the passengers clapping along. I’m not sure if this happens all the time, but it added a lovely touch to the trip. Naples itself is vibrant, with delicious food and plenty to see. Pompeii is a treasure trove of history, offering stunning sights perfect for photos and an incredible opportunity to learn about the past. Highly recommended!

Pompeii was great and was good to have tickets in advance, though still had to queue to redeem. We opt out for tickets without the guide as we like to go at our own pace, but one day was not enough for us to see everything, and maybe next time we get the guide as well to learn more. Visit to archaeology museum is a must as well as many frescoes are on display there.

The Hop-on Hop-off bus drive around the coastline of Naples was well worth the price. However, there was often a 30-minute wait standing in line to get on a bus for our trip at the end of May. Bring sunscreen and a good hat for sitting on the upper level of the bus while wating and not hardly moving in the heavy traffic around the city of Naples.

There is relatively little description and narration, most of the time Italy is playing. Music. In addition, points are often described where the bus has been over for a long time or is not even there yet, and you often don't know which building is actually meant. In addition, more buses should be used or fewer tickets sold when there are large crowds.

Easy to find meeting point for bus and good value for both red and blue lines. Seamless ticket process at bus with our online booking. We rode straight to the museum and were rewarded with a quiet experience for the first hour or so. Very large collection of artifacts, well-displayed! Rode the remainder of the red line, had lunch, then hopped on the blue line for a beautiful coastal tour. Great value for all!

We took both routes offered by the service in Naples. Satisfied, very convenient hop-on hop-off service, as always and anywhere in the world, brilliant to get a quick view of the city and surroundings (for Naples 45 min to historic center and 70 min to Posillipo). Could not download e-ticket from app, used reservation code to print ticket at checkout. Happy, thanks.

Interesting tour through the underground of Naples. You will be shown some of the numerous tunnels under the city and told how the inhabitants of Naples used them in times of war. Short narrow passages lead you to a Roman cistern. If you want to see more of these, you should also visit the Lapis Water Museum.

The meeting point was easy to find and the staff were helpful and friendly. The bus left on time. We would book again and let someone with experience drive the serpentines. They even printed out the tickets for our group for the entrance to Vesuvius. At Vesuvius we had enough time to hike to the crater (approx. 20 minutes) and to walk around the crater as far as possible. An impressive experience.

Tickets were easy to obtain. When we arrived at the Herculaneum site we were greeted by the check in lady. We were introduced to the Archaeologist Theresa who was brilliant. The tour started on time with the small group as was promised. We all had headsets and could hear Theresa clearly. Her enthusiasm for her chosen profession was inspiring. I'm so glad she was working with us. I would recommend Theresa and this tour to all who are interested even a little, in the Herculaneum site and its history. You will be drawn in and want to learn more. Herculaneum was the main reason I came to Italy. It was so worth while, I loved every minute. Thank you Theresa!!!

Fascinating history, with detailed and engaging discussion by our very knowledgeable guide Antonella. In 2 hours we covered most highlights of the site, and were free to wander afterwards. We also visited the museum displays afterwards to see many artifacts such as pottery, jewelry, and household items which were recovered from Herculaneum. Walking around the archeological site the ancient paving stones are somewhat uneven, so one must walk carefully, but boardwalks in some areas are helpful. We used the Circumvesuviana train to and from Napoli to get to Ecology, from Garibaldi station.

All went well until I could see I was running late and the contact number given was not available despite trying to call several times. I ended up having to call head office to contact them, all this being rather stressful for me as I was trying with difficulty to negotiate the railway system... perhaps a reminder could be sent on the day or the tour with a working telephone number in case of delay getting to the meeting point etc. I didn't want up hold the rest of the group and indeed I was able to catch them up at the site eithout too much delay. The guide was very informative and amusing though a little too obsessed with poop and pee etc! Also rather disparaging about other guides and tourist "idiots" and the "ugly" museum!😂. I think he thought we would all be amused by this but I'm not sure everyone was!! He is extremely knowledgeable and energetic and had plenty of excellent visual aids to illustrate various explanations and points he was making.

Great management, but non-transparent ticket regulations and poor customer service We booked a guided tour at 3 pm for €40 per person. The tour was really excellent - our guide Vincenzo was extremely knowledgeable, friendly and took a lot of time to answer our questions. We learned a lot and were able to continue exploring the site on our own after the tour until closing time. However, we were very disappointed with the way the admission regulations were handled in advance: it was not clear on the website that access to the site was only possible from 3 pm. As two hours is very short for the entire tour, we wanted to explore the site on our own before the tour. We were refused - on the grounds that the ticket was only valid for a single entry. Unfortunately, the provider was not very solution-oriented in this situation. We were not taken seriously on the phone and no help was offered. We were forced to buy an additional ticket, which increased the price per person to over €50 - significantly more than originally expected. Conclusion: The tour itself is highly recommended, but the provider urgently needs to work on its communication and customer service. Anyone booking should find out exactly what the access conditions are beforehand.

Really enjoyed visiting the catacombs of San Gaudioso, our guide had great English and very engaging, on seeing this part of the tour was recommended that we visit the San Gennaro catacombs free within the year, we didn't hesitate and booked for the following day, our guide was very enthusastic and really got a sense of what went on here thousands of years before. Would highly recommend.

San Genaro is the more beautiful of the two and more impressive. The guide (in English) was very interesting and clear. San gaudioso (included in the same ticket) was less spectacular and the guide much less comprehensible. Nevertheless, this is a must-see on any trip to Naples. Unfortunately, no photos allowed!

This experience is perfect if you want to to spend a day to venture further afield from Rome. We got the chance to see Pompeii and to spend some time in the beautiful Sorrento. We weren't sure if we would have enough time in Pompeii but with the heat and lack of shade, we appreciated the time restraints and felt we had enough time in Pompeii. I'd highly recommend and it was the highlight of our trip.

I gave it 4 out of 5 stars only because I expected a bit more from the Pompeii portion of the tour. That said, the overall experience was fabulous! Roberta was a brilliant guide - super friendly, knowledgeable and managed our group well. We definitely recommend this tour to anyone wanting to explore Pompeii for two hours with a guide. And the transfer to Pompeii from Naples and from Pompeii to Naples was very prompt, handy and simple - just be sure to show up to the transfer on time as they leave right on time!

Last minutes changes put ne in a bit of a rush. Appreciate that they accomodate and wait for my arrival to start. Micheal the guide/archeologist was a fountain of knowledge, he made it all well worth it. Both Pompeii and Ercolano are well worth visiting.

The driving was perfect. The guiding was fun and everything perfect apart from that the guide went forward at one time with only half of the group. Luckily it was possible to call one of those who left with her to find out where to go! What we didn't like is that the tour was advertised to start with a pick up at 7:30 but didn't start until 55 minutes later. We only got to know that the tour was to start at 8:30 when another group was picked up from the same company around 8:10. After waiting 40 minutes.

The entire experience was great! We were picked up by bus, got to see Pompeii and Vesuvius, got something good to eat along the way and were supported by our great guide Daniel and our busdriver. Daniel was lot's of fun and explained a lot of interesting historical and local facts to us about Neaples and our destinations. Thank you, I would definitly recommend it +1

Our visit to Pompei and Herkulaneum was truly amazing, as we had an incredible tour guide who turned out to be also a professional archaeologist. Michael made the trip interesting and fun. Our driver Pasquale got us perfectly on time back to Naples centre!

As I was due to visit Herculaneum, I was enrolled in a group visiting Pompeii with 'l'agence autour du Vésuve'. Fortunately, this agency took care of us so that we could visit Vesuvius and Herculaneum (shuttles between Pompeii/Vesuvius/Herculaneum and entrance tickets). Many thanks to this agency for their professionalism. So a mixed experience, since we weren't registered in the right group.

I missed the tour because trenitalia was 2h delayed. This is not your fault. But the support told me I should take a taxi to vesuvius and join the tour there. But the tour didn't wait there either and the support didn't reply anymore. So I spent 90.- for a taxi for nothing.

As so many others have mentioned, the only good thing about this tour was the transportation! The driver was perhaps the rudest person I've ever encountered while traveling (a person who voluntarily deals with tourists and still being this rude and inconsiderate, he honestly should be fired from this company!) Weather was unpredictable, which is beyond anyone's control, however, we were dropped off at Mt. V without being told that there was Zero visibility at the top or even being given the option to skip it, a total waste of an hour plus of our day. After the volcano, we were dropped off at Herculaneum. Far too much time was allowed for this location- it can be seen within an hour. By time we got to Pompeii, we were told that the buildings were going to be closed within 15 minutes. Having entered on the far end near the stadium, totally ruined our plan to see the highlights. We have actually been to Pompeii before and were very excited to be back, however this tour (or lack thereof) just ruined all we were excited about! DO NOT make the mistake that I did, I always take reviews with a grain of salt, but assume it of course cannot be that bad. Unfortunately this tour was the worst. We paid a good amount of money, which honestly we should have received a discount due to the bad weather or even a cancellation of the tour beforehand, we would have had a better day just doing our own thing! Would never recommend this tour for anyone, please go look elsewhere the tour and money spent will be better for you!

It is a bit chaotic. Firstly the Busses stopped like 10 Meters ahead of the meeting point, which let some confused if this are really the right busses. They couldve shouted like Vesuvio Tour here, but they just started reading out the names of the people which were sometimes hard to hear when standing at the back of the crowd. They didn't check a single ticket so anyone could've came and said they were me and they would've just took them. The first stop in Pompeii was good, they gave you clear instructions, you got an audio guide and a map and were told to meet at the meeting point at a certain time. I didn't use the audio guide so can't say anything about it. Then we went to Vesuvio, also there we were told to be back at a certain time. I was back few minutes before and thought that they call out the names again, but for some reason they didn't and there were 2 of their buses. I was there 5 minutes before but almost missed the bus because of that confusion. Then we went to the Heraculaneum site, where we could not enter because the guard there said it was too late to enter. We all had our tickets that we paid for already but the bus driver took us back to the starting point in Naples. We didn't get offered any refund, no apology, nothing. While Pompei and Vesuvio was great, I cannot recommend this tour if you only get 2/3 of what you pay.

Good transport and organisation. Unfortunately the audio guides did not correspond to the places in Erculaneum. In pompeii, it was intermittent. Overall they were amazing places to visit. This company get you to the places, take the hassle out of buying the tickets, and drive you safely back at the end of the day.

Very well organized day. We were able to visit all 3 sites, without having to rush for Herculanum and Mount Vesuvius. For pompei, they show us the places to visit and the time allotted. Don't forget good shoes, as you'll be walking a lot. The team was top-notch. They even spoke a little French, even though we weren't supposed to. Audioguide for herculanum and pompei in French. Very nice!
